Perfect Vision?

Veatch Ophthalmic Instruments says 20/20 eyesight, "does not at all mean, 'perfect vision.' The term 20/20 is solely a measurement."

We would like to use that concept of measurement for Vision 2020. As we pray for this event - as we plant seeds and water them along the way - as we make plans - the purpose is not perfection. The purpose and driving force is to help people understand and see Jesus clearly.

A part of that measurement would be for us to articulate the gospel (the good news) clearly and effectively to as many people as we can. Some people see Jesus as a good man. Others see Him as a prophet or enlightened spiritual leader.

We hope people will see Him for who He truly is. Many people believe there are multiple pathways to God. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6). That is a bold claim. Either He was out of His mind, egocentric, a charlatan...or His claims were legitimate.

We believe, based on the evidence and eye-witness accounts, that Jesus was indeed crucified, buried and rose again on the 3rd day, demonstrating and validating all of His claims. All other religious leaders of the past still remain in their graves. He is the only one who has conquered death and promised us a hope and a future.
